PETERSON, Marilyn M.
nee Drescher of the Town of Raymond, passed away Friday May 5, 2006 at the age of 82 yrs. Marilyn was born in Franksville on May 1, 1924 to Fred and Ethel Drescher nee Monty. Marilyn was married to Gilbert Peterson Sr. for 56 years. Marilyn attended the Franksville Grade School, Washington Jr. High, and Horlick High School. She was a proud member of North Cape Lutheran Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and choir member for many years, belonging to WELCA Women?s Club and the Sarah Elizabeth Circles. Marilyn was an avid bowler since 1983. She bowled in 2 leagues, Castle Lanes Racine Friday AM Seniors and Monday Seniors at 1:00 PM. Marilyn worked at Webster Electric until she married and continued to work on the farm as housewife and doing field work, and loved to care for her flower beds. She was survived by 2 sons Gilbert the late Sheila Peterson Jr. of Franksville and Larry Linda Peterson of Caledonia. Grandsons Steven Peterson, Adam Peterson and Granddaughter Kimberly fiancée Gary Shaffer Peterson. Great-grandchildren Steven, Austin and Danielle Peterson and Erika Anderson. Marilyn is further survived by her sisters Mildred Klepel, Myrtle Molnar, Jean Karl Ciborowski, the late Lorraine the late Ralph Millard, sister-in-law of Helen the late Norman Henrickson and by many nieces, nephews and many friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and husband Gilbert Sr., son Gary Lee Peterson and Grandson Jeffrey Peterson and daughter-in-law Sheila Peterson.
Funeral Service Tuesday May 9th at 10:30 AM at NORTH CAPE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2644 124th Street Hwy. 45 & W. Five Mile Rd.. Interment to follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday Evening from 5-7 PM and Tuesday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of service 10:30 AM.
