Found peace with the Lord surrounded by his family on Thurs., Sept. 26, 2002 at age 76. Beloved son of the late Giocondo and the late Giorgina Groppi. Dear brother of the late John Groppi, Eleanor Raymond Schreihart, the late Theresa the late Clarence Prausa, Louis Vilma Groppi, Mary the late John Bontempo, Frances the late Ted Bolan, Gloria Leonard Danowski, the late Rev. James Margaret Groppi and Thomas Violet Groppi. Further survived by loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends and his faithful dog Skippy. Visitation Monday 4-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Parish Prayer Vigil at 7 PM. Garibaldi Society Ritual at 6:30 PM. Funeral Services Tuesday 11 AM from the funeral home to Immaculate Conception Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM S. Kinnickinnic and E. Russell Aves. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Member of the Louis Travis Amvets Post 14, Giuseppe Garibaldi Society, Bay View Historical Society, Catholic Order of Foresters Ct. 85, Army Veteran of WWII and co-owner of G. Groppi Food Store in Bay View.
