Gardinier, Marjorie Jane age 69 yrs.
Died Friday April 4, 2003 at her home in Troy Center. Marjorie was born to parents William J. Christian and Cora C. nee Johnson in Kenosha, WI on Aril 7, 1933, and attended school in Kenosha. On December 22, 1956 Marjorie married her husband Calvin at The First Methodist Church, in Kenosha, where they lived until 1996 when they made Troy Center their home. Marjorie worked many different jobs throughout her life, her most recent and most favorite was working in the fabric dept and as a greeter at Wal-Mart in Mukwonago. Her love for fabric was reflected in her creations that she had knit and sewn. A knit sock was lovingly made for all of her four daughters, then their husbands and finally her grandchildren, creating a banner of 20 knit socks across her fireplace mantel. Marjorie was an avid collector of a wide variety of items that caught her fancy, most particularly Angels. She was also a proud member of the Eastern Star Burlington.
Marjorie is survived by her loving husband Calvin of Troy Center: Her four daughters: Debbie Ron Wendt, Beth Vela, Kris Bill Schmitz and Amy Gardinier all of Kenosha. Cherished grandchildren: Amanda, Adam, Sara, Becky, Robbyn, Brittany, Chase and Brianna. Prized great grandchildren: Devon, Kailey and Hannah. Her brother Cecil Caroline Christian also survives her. Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Muriel.
A funeral service will be held Sunday April 6, 2003 at 5 PM, with an Eastern Star Service preceding. Visitation will be 2 PM until the time of services. All services will be held at the funeral home.
