Mark J. Harrison

Passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 28, 2024 age 70 years.  Beloved husband of Sharry (nee Norman).  Loving dad of Jamie Harrison and Justin (Paige) Harrison.  Proud grandpa of Christopher, Mark, Ivan, Elliott, Marshall and Alek.  Son-in-law of Donald Norman. Brother of Karen Harrison.  Further survived by many relatives and good friends.

Preceded in death by his parents Laurens and Genevieve Harrison and his mother-in-law Grace Norman.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Mark’s Life on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Joe’s K Ranch 4840 South Whitnall Avenue Cudahy, WI 53110. Bring your smile, good stories and memories to share.

Mark was a big kid loving water fights, donut hunts, being “one of the girls” and of course retreats to manland.  One of his great achievements was being a record setting pitcher for Oak Creek High School, even being scouted by the major leagues.  Mainly he loved his family, grandkids, feeding deer, Hallmark movies and casino trips.  Making sure to find time for hunting, walks, UTV rides, playing canasta and singing his one-line songs not so horribly.

    Sherry and Family:

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Mark both at Via Systems and Cree. I enjoyed working with him and have a lot of fond memories. There is one I would like to share with you. On the first day that Mark started at Cree, he walked up to me and said “ hey Bob” and with no hesitation he sang “ I like to go swimming with bow legged women and swim between their legs and swim between their legs.” The way he sang it always had me laugh. I thought there was more to the song and like mention, I figured Mark didn’’t know the rest of it. I looked this up today and found out that this was the whole song. He must of got it from Potter on MASH, and with the amount of times he sang it to us, this had to be one of his favorites. This goofy song has been in my head from the first time he sang it and always brings a smile for me. Thanks for everything Mark and Rest in Peace. Bob Yakich

What a wonderful memorial yesterday celebrating Marks life!! I regret not sharing that when we were kids (as 1st cousins) ….I must’ve been quite young – between 6 & 8 years old maybe?? Karen & my sisters were hanging out doing something & I was just hanging out in Mark’s room playing with one of his toys or checking out a book – dont remember? But what I’ll never forget is Mark all of sudden coming in the bedroom full force & sliding under his bed like he was sliding into home plate!! AND then I heard my Uncle Larry yelling Mark’s name knowing he was in trouble for something!! I looked at Mark still wondering how did he literally slide under his bed like that!??! It was quite impressive – I’m sure the linoleum flooring helped 🙂 & The baseball player he was – but i didn’t know?? & I Mark looks at me & says “Shhhhhhh, don’t tell him I’m here”…..To this day I can still see him hiding under that bed – needless to say I didn’t hang around for the rest of the story…..lol…We have such fond memories of growing up together – The giggles – belly aching laughs from Mark’s comical ways with Karen & my sisters added remarks that made memories for us, that lasted a lifetime. Until we meet again!! Gail
