Mark graduated from Greenfield High School in 1978 and UW-Whitewater in 1982 with degrees in elementary and special education. Following graduation, Mark worked at the IRS until his retirement in 2006. Mark loved all sports, particularly the Packers, Brewers, Badgers and Marquette Golden Eagles. Visitation will be held Friday, August 25, 2023, from 4-7 PM at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 4800 S. 84th St., Greenfield, with a service Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11AM at HALES CORNERS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 12300 W. Dear Jackie – Vince and I are very sorry to hear about the loss of Mark. I met Mark when you and I became friends in high school. While we are deeply saddened by his passing, it was nice to read of his accomplishments and contributions during his lifetime. He really left his “mark” on the world. May your many memories bring you and the entire Laing family comfort.
    Love,
    Karen

    Dean and family.

Your brother and I belonged to the same church and I would run into him often. He always had the greatest smile and would be so warm and kind. We had a lot of great conversations regarding his disability and he was a wealth of knowledge. What a life well-lived.

I am so sorry for your loss.
