Albert
Mark S. Albert
Mark was reunited with his father, Eugene Albert on Sept 6, 2023, one day before his 70th birthday.
Survived by his loving family; mother Barbara, children Melissa and Matthew (Kayla Bell) and grandson Maverick Albert. Further survived by and dearly missed by “lifetime” friend Sheila (James) Grudzinski, siblings, nieces and nephews.
Although an American citizen, Mark was born in La Rochelle France while his father was serving in the US ARMY. Mark graduated from Nicolet high school in Glendale WI in 1972 where he was involved in various sports and athletics.
After high school Mark went on to further his education and attended Marquette University from 1972-1973 and UWM from 1973-1974 under business administration. Mark had eight years of employment with Jewel in which he worked his way up to Manager. After Jewel he continued in the field of grocery management until 1990. Due to a devastating on-the-job injury in 1986, chronic back pain started to cause interference in Mark’s life. He pursued a career change and enrolled in MATC from 1990-1992 earning an associate’s degree in architectural drafting and got a job as a draftsman. Later in life when it was too difficult and painful to perform daily full-time work duties, he decided to join the Clifford’s Supper Club team. Mark regularly bartended in the hall for Friday fish fry’s and for several events for his later 30 years. He became a loved coworker, and a face that patrons were always happy to see.
Amongst his other accomplishments, he was a Wauwatosa Police reserve member from 1980-1986, with rank of captain.
Mark was a very intelligent, detailed-oriented man who seemed to always go above and beyond to do the right thing. He was a caring compassionate man, and as an animal lover there were always pets in the house; his most recent dog Argo will miss him dearly. He enjoyed fishing and was always a huge Packers, Brewers, and Badgers fan and loved to watch NASCAR. In addition, he had a passion for riding his Harley.
Mark was, and will always truly be loved by so many, and it’s guaranteed not a day will go by that he isn’t thought about and missed.
A memorial Celebration of Life will be held for Mark on Sunday Sept 24th at Clifford’s Supper Club. Visitation from 12-1pm and a dedication to follow at 1pm.
Attachment
Mark was always friendly and willing to help out wherever needed. He was always playing with my children when they were younger and usually at family gatherings. Calling my folks, ” Mom & Dad”, I will miss his Harley rides. His smile and teasing will be missed by all.
Mark was the best brother a girl could have. Throughout my life, he was my tormentor (what brother doesn’t torment their little sister?), a fierce protector and above all such a clown who always kept me laughing. I will miss my big brother, but am glad he no longer lives with such pain. I love you “Mowk”
I came across the obituary and could not be more shocked. Mark and I had been very close years ago but have not been in touch for years. I am sorry for the family’s loss. I’m not sure what happened but I’m sorry we did not reconnect before he passed.
Hard to believe mark has passed. At such a young age. He will be missed. I remember mark as one of the best bartenders that Clifford’s had. And as well as a great bartender. He was a great listener and would give great advise. He saved me many times from hooking up with women that were no good for me. I always looked to mark for good council. Marty Z.
I loved you more than you know and you’ll always have a place in my heart.
