Marlene Kulakowski,
(nee Grusheski) Passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 27, 2021 surrounded by her family, at the age of 80 years old. Beloved wife of the late Joe Kulakowski and preceded in death by her mother Bernice Nyland and John Grusheski; devoted mother to Kim (Clarence) Weisflog , Lynn (Charles & Leslie) Wickens , and Dean Kulakowski. Loving sister to Jim (Nancy) Brzezinski , and dear sister in law to Rosemarie (Ron Weston) Jackson . Cherished Nana to Ruchell (Nick) Fucile, Clarence J (Nicole) Weisflog, and Mason Kulakowski. Treasured Great-Nana to Brooklynn, Rocco, Louie, and Graham. She is also survived by many endeared cousins, nieces, nephews and great friends who are like family.
Marlene was a kind and loving person, who had a generous spirt and loved to shop. She had an elegant presence about her and was always dressed to perfection. Known for always having her nails gorgeously manicured, she enjoyed wearing her jewelry and adorning her beautiful hands with stunning rings. Marlene loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor, although she also had a reserved demeanor.
She loved her family with her entire heart and felt it was her greatest accomplishment, and dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in every aspect of their lives. Marlene was a humble person with many talents but her ability to make “the best cheesecake in the world” was her pride and joy. She held the recipe so close to her heart, that to this day, nobody else knows her recipe!
Her love of flowers and creating charming gardens in her yard, Marlene was surprised but proud to receive the City of Greenfield’s “Neighborhood Beautification Award” one year.
The visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 4800 South 84th Street, Greenfield, WI, on Saturday June 5th, from 10:30am until the time of funeral service at 12pm.
Interment Arlington Park Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
