Martha A. Johnson

Martha A. Johnson, 55, passed away March 25th at her home in Milwaukee from health complications. Martha was born June 9, 1962, in Cambridge, to the late Wilson (Robert) and Marie (Behrens) Johnson. Martha grew up in Collins and graduated from Valders High School with the Class of 1980. Martha graduated from UW-Oshkosh in January 1985 with a BS in Education and Human Services.

Martha’scareerbegan as a Social Worker with Allendale Association in Lake Villa where she remained for 12 plus years. Martha’s career then led her to the State of WI, Bureau of Milwaukee Child Welfare, where she was responsible for the Foster Care program, until her retirement in January 2015.

Surviving Martha are four siblings, David and Mary of Reedsville, Bill of Manitowoc, and Margaret of Buffalo Grove, IL, three adoring nieces, Erin Carrico, Amber Johnson, and Madeline (Randy) Pflum, two great nephews, Dominic and Jameson, and one great niece, Margot. Martha’s passing has also left a void in many friends’ hearts of whom she cherished the friendships of through the years. Preceding Martha in death wereher parents, abrother, Jimmy,plus several aunts and uncles.
