“Melanie” (nee Butalla) Called home on Saturday, July 2, 2016 age 96 years. Beloved wife of the late Clarence. Loving mother of the late Wayne (Joan), the late Kenneth (Joanne), Janice (Larry) Schmitz and Susan (Dean) Yealey. Proud grandma of 10, great-grandma of 26 and great-great-grandma of 4 grandsons. Dear sister of Viola Novitzke, Cordella Trage, Harold (Ruth) Butalla and Arlean (Ervin) Jagodzinski having been preceded in death by her other 11 siblings. Further surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation Thursday, July 7 at the funeral home from 5-7 pm. Visitation will resume Friday, July 8 at ST. VERONICA’S CHURCH, 4001 South Whitnall Avenue from 9:30-10:45 AM with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Entombment St. Adalbert’s cemetery.

A special thank you to the staff at Matthews of Oak Creek and Hometown Hospice for their loving care. A very special heartfelt thanks to her granddaughter Dawn who gave grandma her time, love and compassionate care over the past 2 ½ years, especially during the last week of her life. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) or American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) appreciated.
