Melissa Paprocki

Melissa E. Paprocki (nee Maki), 77, of Milwaukee, WI passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 20, 2025.  Melissa, better known as “Mitzi,” was born to Eino and Edythe Maki.  She married Brian Paprocki in Milwaukee, WI and relocated to Rock Island, IL.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother James Maki and sister Melinda Dudzik.

Mitzi enjoyed reading, had a passion and talent for sewing, enjoyed her work, and loved to travel.  She was devoted to her family and friends.

Survivors include her stepchildren David (Amy) Paprocki and Tracy Paprocki; grandchildren Elsie and William Paprocki; nieces and nephews; Nicole (John) Pienkos, Jamie Dudzik, Jeffrey (Becky) Dudzik, Daniel (Megan) Dudzik, April Gussey, and Matt (Cori) Maki.  She is further survived by additional nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church on 6700 Howell Avenue, Oak Creek, WI.  Service will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial at St. Louis Cemetery, Caledonia, WI.
