Was granted his prayer to join his wife Evelyn and his daughter Linda in their heavenly home on Sunday Feb. 12, 2012 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn. Dear father of the late Linda Luty, Mike Kathy, James Janet, Gary the late Kelly and Mark Dawn Luty. Grandfather of Rachel Mike Lyons, Chris Michelle Luty, Andy Mandi Luty, Anne, Mary and Julianna Luty. Great grandfather of Kaitlyn and Aiden Lyons. Brother of Vera Solberg and Louis Luty. Pre-deceased by his siblings; Clara Pnewski, Louise Anderson, Henry Luty, Agnes Wenzel, Barbara Reske, Harold Luty, Gerald Luty and Catherine Luty. Brother-in-law of Delores Michalski, and Nancy Luty. Also survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation Friday 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at St. Rita’s Church 60th & Lincoln followed by a Mass Of Christian Burial at 5:30 PM. Private entombment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Melvin was a proud member of Lathers Local #10, a WWII veteran and a member of Krejci Braun Meier VFW Post #7485.
