Please accept my belated condolences. I have just discovered the death of my office-mate while at the Medical College of Wisconsin, internship and residency, psychiatry.
For the first time since our graduation, I chose to learn of his career and found that he had passed away. I am sorry and wish all of you to know he was competent and friendly.
Terrie:
Our deepest and heartfelt sympathy. Mel was a great doctor, and even a better person. He will be missed by everyone who had the privilege to cross his path. As was so eloquently said by an earlier mourner, we too grieve with you and will keep you and your family in our prayers.

Very belated condolences. I began seeing him in 1989. I am so saddened that he is gone. I can’t imagine your grief at the loss of such a special man. His family proudly displayed in hockey regalia above his desk. He helped me through the most difficult times in my life, and made me laugh. I wish I’d have known sooner.
My prayers are with his family.
Dr. Soo Hoo was THE greatest psychiatrist! Sorry for your loss. I miss him grewatly.
Very belated condolences to Terrie and family. I worked with him when he was on Dewey Ave. It was always nice to see his smile. He was the best psychiatrist in Milwaukee.. Rest in Peace Dr. Soo Hoo
Dr Soo Hoo was Jane’s doctor for many years. Jane loved bringing candles and candy to our visits. Our condolences to family.
I had the honor of working with Dr. Soo Hoo for several years. He was a brilliant physician whose clients benefited not only from his insightful intellect but also from his subtle, witty sense of humor. He spoke proudly of his role as Guong Guong; even in the whirlwind of the workplace, it was never far from his mind.
Dr Soo Hoo was one of a kind. We worked together at Aurora in Franklin. He was not only a colleague but a mentor who taught me many things about psychiatry that I still utilize today. He also was always willing to help me out- a little bit of a surrogate father in that way. He was a friend, for sure.. He helped me with a car issue in the work parking lot once with his tool kit he had in his white Ford Escape. We talked of his family and dogs often. We talked about Detroit and trips he would take there to see family and friends. We talked about his genealogy with. He is greatly missed. Gone too soon. I pray for Mel and his family often and will continue to do so. .
I was one of his clients for more than fifteen years. I can honestly say that my quality of live was significantly improved by his medical knowledge, his unflappable smile and his “Well, John, seems to me you should just ….” Dr. Soohoo was a consummate professional and an all-around “neat guy.”
Dr. Soo Hoo helped me a lot as one of his patients. To his family and friends: I am sorry for your loss, my condolences.
