I recall spending the day with my life long friend the day before Mert went home to heaven. We have been friends since attending Raymond Grade School. We only lived a mile apart as young men. I believe Mert and I met because, “I had a cute older sister Marilyn!” As seasoned men, we only lived a block apart and I surly will miss him!
Dear Luanne and family. We’d like to express our deepest condolences on your loss. I have known Mert ever since I was a little girl. He always would greet you with that warm and welcoming smile. He was a good friend I remember our trips to Melody Top with Paul and Collette. What fun times we had. May you be comforted during this difficult time knowing that one day we will all be reunited.in Christ.

Dearest Aunt Luanne,
Among my treasured memories are the summers we spent with you and Uncle Mert. As each school year begins I think of these times. I think of how you helped get our clothes ready for the new school year. On occasion Uncle Mert would go out and get us doughnuts. Then at the end of the summer you would take us someplace special. I hope to be able to pass on times like these with my family. Uncle Mert was such a warm and kind man. I will miss him but I know that at the end of his journey Jesus is there waiting, he is home, John 14:1-3, “In the Garden”. May Jesus be ever close to you in your time of loss. May He surround you with His love and provide for your every need. Love Lynette
Luanne, Karen, and Jim. You have my sincerest condolences. I have such wonderful memories of Mert, and he meant the world to my Mom and Dad (Paul and Colette). My dad always shared such great stories of Mert, Bob Moser and my Dad’s shenanigans. I remember hearing the stories of cow tipping, car racing and I’m pretty sure it was Mert who climbed between the windows of two cars side by side going down the road. My favorite story is most definitely the mouse between two slices of bread. I believe up in heaven there is a wonderful reunion going on, and it will only get better when God brings each one of us home. Praying for comfort for all of you.
