Welcomed to the heavenly banquet on March 18, 2015, at the age of 62 years. Beloved husband of Kathy (nee Kerhin); proud father of Rachel (Mike) Lyons; Chris (Michelle) and Andrew (Amanda). Dear grandpa of Kaitlyn, Aiden and Kiera Lyons and Claire Luty. Big brother of Jim (Janet); Gary (the late Kelly) and Mark (Dawn). Cherished brother-in-law of Jim (Pat) Kerhin; John (Kathy) Kerhin; Pat (John) Celek; Tony (Laura) Kerhin; and Jeannie (Steve) Fowle. Fond son-in-law of Dorothy Kerhin. Preceded in death by his parents Evelyn and Melvin Luty and his sister Linda Luty. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mike was a gentle and faithful husband who faced life’s challenges with quiet courage. He cherished his time with his kids and grandkids, especially working on projects and hunting with his sons, or answering his daughter’s questions about where to find the best deal. Mike was a long-time employee of WE Energies. For the past 10 years he worked as an Electric Field Unit Supervisor at the DOT. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Aloysius or to the charity of your choice appreciated.
Visitation will be held at the FUNERAL HOME from 5PM-7:30PM Friday. Visitation will also be held Saturday from 9:30AM-11AM at St. Aloysius, 1414 S. 93rd St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Entombment at Mt. Olivet to follow.
