Nancy attended Edgewood High School and Edgewood College.  She later worked as a bookkeeper for a division of GM and was a Bestway school bus driver for many years.  Nancy was very smart, always a hard worker and truly a jack of all trades. When she wasn’t raising her nine children, Nancy enjoyed sewing and, in later life, quilting, a hobby she picked up from her mother, who was a talented seamstress.  She was an avid reader, gardener, and loved puzzles.  Nancy enjoyed socializing with the ladies in the Two-Bit Stock Club and with her neighbors.  Nancy also had a particular love of shelties, owning several throughout her life.  She will be deeply missed by her family and all that knew and loved her.

If so desired, memorials to The Simmons Cemetery Association, 807 Skyline Dr, Van Buren, AK 72956 are appreciated.

Special thanks to Ascension Franklin hospital staff and hospice team for their loving care.
