Ackerman, Nellie (Nee Vujnovich)
Of Oak Creek, Called home to the Lord on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the age of 91 years. Beloved Wife of the late Warren Sr. Dear Mother of Warren (Judi), the late Ricky and the late Ronald Ackerman. Loving Grandmother of Rick (Nikki), Christine (Jason Smukowski), Megan (Kyle) Momenee, Kelly and James. Great Grandmother of Hunter, Marek, Genevieve, Taylor, Jordan and Shawnna. Sister of Nick Vujnovich, the late Millie, the late Molly, the late Bessie and the late Mary. Special friend of Loretta Niehusen. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 9, 2013 at the FUNERAL HOME from 10AM until the time of service at NOON. Interment to follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

Nellie was proud to have attended Milwaukee County General Hospital School of Nursing and went on to become the head surgical nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital in Racine.

Nellie also loved golfing, bowling and donated much of her time to the Oak Creek Lions, Lionettes and the Ladies Auxillary of the American Legion Post 434 Oelschlaeger-Dallmann.

Above all, Nellie took care of and loved her family.
