Norman Alexander Texeira, age 85, passed away peacefully on Christmas morning 12-25-20.

Norman was born on the island of Maui, Hawaii where his family resided… and arrived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the age of 18 to specifically attend Marquette College.

He met his first wife, Karen Jane Dudek and had over 45 years of marriage with her until she preceded him in death in 2005 from cancer.  They had 5 children together…Peg, Tom, Dave, Bill and Jim.

Norman was preceded in death by his first grandchild, Cassandra Jane Voss (mom is Peggy) who passed in 2007 from a car accident.

Norman remarried in July of 2015 to Rosemary Francis, who was also a widower and they had over 10 years together before she proceeded him in death this past April on Good Friday.

Norman worked at AT&T for over 42 year, first as a lineman and then as a central office technician.  He was a strong union member and acted as a chief steward for the CWA Local 4603 in Milwaukee.

He continued working on his degrees and graduated from Marquette in Philosophy and Psychology while working for AT&T.  He loved Marquette basketball and was a die-hard fan, both attending live games with his season’s tickets or watching them on the TV.

He also loved fishing, especially walking the trout streams, a favorite past time each of his children enjoys to this day.

Norman’s first great grandchild James Elijah Texeira, was recently born 12-16-20 to grandson Alex (dad is Bill) and wife Leah, prior to his passing.

Norman is survived by his five children and their families…Peggy(Cassandra’s mom) & Darrel Everson, daughter Melanie.  Tom & (Terri who passed in 2009), daughter Amanda & family.  Dave & Lisa, sons Lukas and Bryce.  Bill and Deb, daughter Abby, son Alex and family, and son Zachary.  Jim, daughter Shannon and son Jake.

    To the Texeira Children,
I am so sorry to read of the passing of your Dad. I was your neighbor on 38th St. for many years when we were all growing up. I have many wonderful memories of your family and remember how my parents enjoyed their company. My condolences to you all.
