Odelle Marie Leonard

(nee Monte) Born October 21, 1932, in Woodford WI, and went home on Sunday, December 6th, 2015, age 83. Cherished wife of the late Rev. Dr. Ralph S. Leonard for 56 years. Dear mother of Mark (Dawn) Leonard, Jodelle Thomas, and Matthew (Susan) Leonard. Grammie of Kristine (Ryan) Deane, Amanda (John) Deetz, Emily Murray, Zachary (Stephanie), Brittany, Nicholas, Olivia, Levi, Victoria, Christopher Anderson, Brandon (Edivania), and the late Joshua. Great-grammie of Madeline, Abigail, Paris, Nadia, and Christian. Aunt of Gary Monte and Debra Monte Dolan. Preceded in death by parents William and Marie Monte and brothers Glenn and Pastor Lenwood (Donna) Monte. Survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorial visitation on Saturday, December 12th, from 1-2PM at FOX POINT LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7510 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Fox Point, WI, with memorial service to follow at 2PM.
Mrs. Leonard taught in Rockford, IL and Kenosha, WI school districts for 37 years. Odelle received her Bachelor’s degree from Carthage College, and Master’s from Rockford College. She was a very active member at Fox Point Lutheran Church, participating in the choir, bell choir, ladies group, and quilting group. Odelle enjoyed her travels to over 60 countries for pleasure and missions work.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Carthage College, for a scholarship fund in her name appreciated.
