My deepest sympathy to Shirley and Ottis Jones family.. I had the pleasure of working with Ottis as his partner in the MCSO Detective Bureau. Detective Jones was a dedicated office who treated everyone with dignity and respect. We were all proud of his military service. Ottis often talked about his loving wife Shirley and children. I always enjoyed the phone conversations we had after our retirement talking about all the interesting and funny things that we experienced on the job. Ottis God bless you and your family..
Otis was one of the BEST I had the honor of working with at MCSO
Rest in peace O.J.
Is this my dad
My sympathies to the Jones family. I enjoyed working with Otis at the 84th Division of the US Army Reserves. Otis encouraged me to pursue a career in law enforcement- which I have since retired from. He was a great man and mentor. I’ was saddened to hear about his passing.
Otis Jones Sr., otherwise known to me as Uncle Otis, always had a joke or prank up his sleeve!
Uncle Otis was my introduction into the MPD. When I informed him that I had applied to MPD he had more stories than I had time to listen to……and he knew EVERYBODY!!!
