Otto Freiheit

Otto Freiheit. Friday, January 24th, 2014, age 76. Otto was the rock of his family, and will be missed beyond measure. He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Sandy. Loving father of Anna (Dave) Clausing, Susan (Todd) Dakins, Gregory (Bobbi), Joanne (James) Julie, Eric, and Michael (Sarah), the late Jeff, the late Jimmy, and the late Lori. Brother of Gus, Olga, and Edda. Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation Sunday, February 2nd, 2014, from 11am to 2pm at THE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral Service to follow, at 2pm.

Otto was born on January 18, 1938 in East Prussia. A displaced person in a Danish refugee camp after WWII, Otto came to the United States on May 19th, 1952. “Pa” retired from Bucyrus-Erie in 2002. He was a proud American, and surrounded himself with symbols of his patriotism for his adopted Homeland.
