Paul Arnold Lindemann
Paul Arnold Lindemann was born in Waukesha on October 29, 1939, to Adolph and Olive (Thiesenhusen) Lindemann, the third of seven children. He was born again and adopted into the family of his heavenly Father through the washing of holy baptism on December 3, 1939. He was instructed in the saving truths of Holy Scripture and professed his faith in the Triune God and Jesus Christ as his Savior when he was confirmed at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Muskego on March 29, 1953.
Paul attended Rochester High School and graduated from MATC with a degree in business. He worked for over 30 years as a purchasing agent at Waukesha Engine (Dresser). Following his retirement from Dresser, he served many more years as a consultant at Fluid Power Energy and Filtration Systems Inc. in Waukesha.
On June 4, 1965, Paul married Janet Mayer of Muskego, Wisconsin. He was a loving father to three children: Ann, John, and James. An active member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Paul took every opportunity he had to grow in the grace and knowledge of his Lord and Savior, faithfully attending church services and Bible studies. He served in various leadership positions at St. Paul’s in addition to teaching Sunday School for 50 years. A strong supporter of WELS missions, he had the opportunity to visit his son John in the African mission field four times. A member of the Stoney Creek Adult Community Board of Directors, he served as its President from 2014-2017.
Paul was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Known as Pa to his family, his sense of humor, godly wisdom and affection will be deeply missed. He patiently endured a lifetime of chronic pain, always keeping his eyes fixed on Jesus and the promise of an eternal life free from pain.
On Wednesday, April 5, 2023, God in his wisdom and mercy summoned Paul from this world of sickness and pain to his side in glory having granted him a time of grace in this world of 83 years, 5 months, and seven days.
Paul is survived by his wife and best friend, Janet (nee Mayer); his daughter, Ann (James) Janke; his sons, John (Melinda) Holtz, and James (Judy) Lindemann; his grandchildren, Joshua (Elisabeth) Janke, Sarah (Aaron) Dolan, Hannah (Marcus) Bitter, Rachel (Christopher) Anderson, Heather Holtz, Lukas Lindemann and Kathryn Lindemann; and great-grandchildren, Silas, August, and Gretchen Dolan; and Levi, Joel, Jude, Anna and Liam Janke; his brothers, Carl (Betty) Lindemann, and Larry (Janet) Lindemann; his sisters, Arlo Schultz, and Jane Lindemann; sisters-in-law Ann Lindemann and Colleen Lindemann; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by parents Adolph and Olive (Thiesenhusen) Lindemann, and brothers Edward and Earl Lindemann.
St. Paul’s church was a spiritual blessing to Paul throughout his life. A sincere thank you to the pastors for their many home visits and words of comfort.
A heartfelt thank you to Paul’s caregivers from Aurora at Home Hospice Care, Andrea and Jackie.
A visitation for Paul will be held on Sunday, April 16th, from 1:30-3:30pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (S66 W14325 W Janesville Rd. Muskego). A funeral service will immediately follow.
Paul’s mortal remains will be laid to rest in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, there to await the resurrection that will take place when Jesus Christ returns in power and glory on the last day.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Martin Luther College, Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
My name is Daryl Heiser. I currently work at Fluid Power Energy in Waukesha as a Key Account Manager. I first met Paul in 2017, prior to my starting with the Company in February, 2018. I spend many hours with Paul discussing sales startegies, targeting growth and goals, new product offerings, and how he thought I would be a good fit for the organization. I thought the world of Paul Lindemann. His listening, careful choice of words, and enthusiasm about the company was very well received by myself during the interview process. Paul was truly a Christian man, who cared deeply about his family, his company, and his friends and work colleagues. I learned a lot from Paul. I will truly miss his wonderful words of wisdom, encouragement, and his sharing of experiences, that helped me in understanding the role I was undertaking at Fluid Power Energy. A finer individual you will not find that did so much in helping his Company, his Church, his family and friends during his time her on earth. God Bless you Paul Lindemann.
Hey Paul,
Now you’ve got your wings, remember to send St. Peter our way for his filter requirements – I figure they have to be powering those clouds with something. 🙂 Have fun with Dick B. up there getting everyone organised and I’m sure there will be an Albaneses for the two of you meet at for a sandwich and to put the world to rights. It was great knowing you and I’ll miss our disscussions on filter applications and sales strategies as I never failed to learn something new. I’m sure your family will also miss your guidenance and strength but will take comfort from knowing that you are free from all bodily restrictions and in a far better place.
Rest in peace my friend.
Dear Janet I’m so sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Paul,
As you have always told me, you are going to a far better place than earth. You finally got your wish. We were together for so many years it is difficult to conceive of our factory without the presence of Paul Lindemann. Your daily routine which always included coffee with my Dad and I (when I was in town) and then mentoring the troops to do as much as possible with what they had. Speaking of mentoring, you mentored me and for that matter my Dad as well and I doubt we would be where we are today without your guidance. I am very thankful for the many years we had together. Your strong Christian values always showed when things were not going right. As we were running around screaming gloom and doom, you were the calming influence that allowed us to persevere. Having talked to you the week before Christ decided to take you, you said “I have taken this body about as far as I can and it’s time to get a new one.” I’m sure you do now. I thank you for all you did and all you taught us. Enjoy the Kingdom of Heaven and while there, say hello to my Dad.
When I came to Stoney Creek I was missing my beloved Tom. You filled my life with laughter and many card games. I love you and miss you but know that you got to the place you wanted to go to.
Janet- Just recently learned of Pauls.passing to a pain free heavenly home.
I remember spending time with the two of you.
My condolences to you. I watched the video, what a wonderful family you have.
