Paul made the late nights in the control room at PPG bearable and fun. The type of guy that you would look forward to when going to work. He always made me laugh and I hope I did the same for him. We talked about life and family over many work nights. He was so proud of his wife and children and rightly so.
My sincere condolences to his family.
Chris and I sure are going to miss you. We will miss you sitting in the recliner while drinking your hot cuppa coffee. Your smile and raised eyebrows will always be etched in my mind as you had something funny to say.. There was no shortage of humor when we got together.. Now we will just have 35 years of memories and look forward to our heavenly reunion with you and Diane. We will miss your awesome barbecued ribs and campfires. Love you Paul!
My deepest condolences to Jack and Libby and Sarah, also Paul’s parents and siblings and the rest of the family and friends.
There’s no words to express the sorrow and loss of our dear friend Paul and earlier his wife Diane. Wonderful loving couple. I love them to pieces. Both gentle and kind. Used to have him in Sunday school. When he worked third shift we ate breakfast a number of times when they open at 11am @El Fuego on Layton (loved Mexican food), or Fish on a Friday just to talk. Loved it wonderful times. Even visiting and praying at their home was a treat for me to be in such a good company. Well he fought a good fight, kept the faith and his race is over; he crossed over to the other side of his promise. We are still living in hope of that promise while we finish our race and we meet again at the feet of King Jesus. Awesome! I pray God gives his children and family grace and strength for the days ahead. Much love and prayers Genny.
Deeply saddened to hear of Paul’s death. May God’s sweet love surround the Widmer Family to comfort and to bless your precious memories.
Holding your in our hearts. Cousin Margaret Shannon and Cousin Ruth Ann, Eugene and Family.
My sympathy to the Widmer family for the loss of Paul. I worked with Paul at PPG and appreciated my time with him — he was a wonderful person. I wish you solace and warmth during this difficult time. My heart goes out to you.
