Payton Katherine Alexander
On Thursday, November 4, 2021 our sweet girl with the most beautiful smile, kindest heart and generous spirit, Payton Katherine Alexander at the age of 19, went to be with the Lord after a courageous 4-year battle with cancer.
Payton grew up in New Berlin, WI and was a 2020 graduate from New Berlin West Highschool. In high school, she was involved in basketball, golf, photography and maintained a 4.0 GPA while battling cancer.
She loved sports and almost any outside activity. Basketball, golf, swimming, fishing, and biking. With her love of sports, she was an avid fan of the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Bucks. The joy of attending, especially the Brewer games in person were always a highlight for her.
Camping, traveling and exploring new places with her family brought her great joy. Payton loved to look to the sky, watching sunsets with her sister and friends and the night sky to watch the stars, satellites and the moon.
Payton was a Girl Scout starting in kindergarten and went on to be a camp counselor. It gave her such pleasure to work with the young girls and teach them all about the outdoors.
Payton loved to listen to so many types of music. She developed a love for Korean Music over the last several years and enjoyed going to concerts to see a variety of artists.
Since her diagnosis of Ewing Sarcoma Cancer in January 2018, Payton had become an advocate for pediatric and young adult cancer. She was always the first to reach out to those who were struggling in their battle, and she did this all while fighting her own battle. Once her life was touched by cancer, she became involved with may organizations that support and help with childhood cancer. The Gamerosity organization, Little Warrior Foundation, Vince Lombardi Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, Make a Wish and the MACC Fund. These organizations became an important part of Payton’s life and she was so proud and willing to lend a hand to help out in any way she could.
One of her goals was to beat cancer and continue her education on campus at the University of River Falls. Focusing on her Bachelors in Animal Science with a focus on Companion Animals. Payton’s love for all animals was well known. She never met a dog she did not like or want to take home.
When Payton was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, she was determined to live her life to the fullest and not let cancer define her. She fought hard and valiantly for 4 years and tried so hard to stay with us, the ones she loved. We know she did not want to leave us, but God needed her and she answered His call.
Payton left us too soon and is survived by her family who loved her. She will be forever loved and remembered by her parents Stephen and Kimberly Alexander, her brother Austin, sister Paige and her brother Joshua who preceded her in death and leaving behind her beloved dogs, Hailey and Nelli.
Not a day will go by that her Grandpa Weber and all of her many aunts, uncles and countless cousins that will be thinking of her and missing her.
Payton has too many friends to mention here but you know who you are and you also know how much she loved you and cherished your friendship.
We want to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at Children’s Hospital that helped take care of her over the years.
There will be a service held on Saturday November 13, 2021.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:45 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 pm.

I am so sorry to hear of Payton’s passing. Such a special young lady. Sending my heartfelt sympathy and prayers to her family and friends as Heaven welcomes this beautiful soul.
Payton was a vibrant ray of sunshine; although our interactions were short, she never hesitated to make me feel welcome. That’s one of the many things that made her so special. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting her, I could always feel her kindness, despite being hundreds of miles away: not many people can do that. She was also one of the toughest people that I had ever known, if not the toughest. In her constant battles, she still had the brightest smile that never ceased to make me smile with her. We weren’t close, but in those small interactions, I could tell that she was one of the kindest people, genuinely. Payton, I am so sorry that you had to be so strong. I hope you can rest easy. Rest in Power, Payton.
Our most sincere sympathies to the Alexander and Weber families.
Though I was only blessed to have kown her 2 years, Payton has forever touched my heart! She always brightened every room with her big beautiful smile and could challenge any witt with a quick comeback.. Her love for her family and friends could only be topped by her love for dogs……any dog. She fought a long hard battle and surrender was not in her vocabulary. She will forever be missed and never forgotten. While we have lost an amazing soul, God has gained an incredible angel!
My deepest condolences and hope for peace for her and her family.
An amazing young lady with a beautiful soul. My heart breaks for the future you did not get. I was blessed to know you and watch you grow into a beautiful, strong and determined young woman. I will treasure the time I spent camping with you and your wonderful family, and all of the other good times spent together. Those memories will be close to my heart.
Now an angel in heaven, I’m confident that you are in a better place, free from pain, knowing you will be forever held close by your loved ones that were waiting for you.
Rest in paradise sweet Payton!
My thoughts and prayers for Steve, Kim, Austin, Paige and the rest of the Weber and Alexander families.

Our prayers to family and friends. Understanding what tragedy this is as we lost our beautiful 18 year old granddaughter, Shyann Flores, in July, to Ewing’s after a diagnosis in May 2018. 💜 These young people fight to beat this cancer, true heroes!
Hi, I’m very sad about the loss of Payton. She was an amazing person to know while she lived. She would always talk to me in the hallway on the way to class if she had time. And I know that Payton fought hard until the end. My condolences to the Alexander family and Payton’s friends and relatives. May she find peace in heaven.
My deepest condolences. Payton is now resting in peace with God. Hope and pray for peace for family.
It was a privilege to coach Payton. As member of the New Berlin Golf team she brought her positive outlook and charming personality to every practice and meet. She made us all better people. Payton’s courage and inspiration will always be a part of us. Heaven needed another angel.
My deepest sympathies for Payton’s family. You are in my prayers
