Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a 6-month battle with brain cancer. Adoringly loved husband of Linda (nee Garstecki) for over 46 years. Loving dad of Lisa (Jon) Bahr and Doug. Loyal grandpa of Nolan Bahr. Son of the late Carl and Jennie Heffel. Dear brother of David (Tammy). Brother-in-law of the late Pamela (David) Fisher, Russell (Karen) Garstecki, the late Debra (Rod) Rehberg and Bruce Garstecki. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Private family gathering will be held.
Peter had a very strong work ethic, being employed at General Motors for over 30 years. He did however greatly enjoy his 16 years of retirement. Peter enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing and anything else that involved his family. He was someone that was always there to lend a helping hand if anyone ever needed it.

So sorry to here of Peter’s death. Peter and I were close friends in our early years on Holton and Lloyd Streets. I see he was a co- army veteran. God be with him and his family.
