Phyllis (nee Kellogg) Atwell lost her battle with Alzheimer’s on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the age of 91, after a long, heartbreaking period of physical and mental decline inflicted on her by this illness.

She is reunited with her husband Herbert Lee Atwell and beloved son Stephen Lee Atwell. Cherished mother of Judy and Linda. Loving mother-in-law of Karen Hunt, and proud Grandma of Stephanie Lee, Emma Lee, and Hunter Lee Atwell. Phyllis was preceded in death by her father Doctor James Rossiter Kellogg, mother Edith and brother Fred Dodge, from Portage WI. Further survived by loving friends Jodi Kasperski and Suzette Orcholski, along with nieces and nephews in Virginia and South Carolina, in additional to other relatives and friends.

Gathering at the Suminski / Weiss Funeral Home, 1901 N. Farwell Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53202 on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Celebration of Life at 7:00 PM. Private interment will be in Portage, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family appreciated.
