Tuesday, October 8, 2002 age 80 years. Loving husband and best friend of Julia Nee Sterle. Brother of Edna the late Frank Leitgeb, Gladys George and Ruth the late Clarence Kiel. Brother in law of Helen Nick Doland of Seattle, WA. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service Friday, October 11 at 5:00 PM at the Family Center of Wisconsin Memorial Park. 12875 W. Capitol Dr. Rev. Robert Jensen officiating. Private Entombment Wisconsin Memorial Park. In state Friday at the Family Center from 3 PM until time of service 5 PM, Mr. Schmidt was a retired employee of Schlitz Brewery. Special thanks to caregiver Jacek Marko. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Gethsemane Ev. Lutheran Church appreciated.
