Age 90yrs. Went home to his Heavenly Home On Monday Feb. 27th, 2006 reunited with his wife Bernice E. nee Block. He leaves three sons, William J. and his wife Elaine of Worcester, MA, John ?Jack? and his wife Sandy of Muskego and James A. and his companion Lee of Whitewater, a brother Allen and his wife Evelyn of Greenfield, five grandchildren Michelle and her husband John, Bryan, Dustin, Eileen, and Monica, one great grandchild Adam, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Ray was born in Milwaukee the son of Peter and Theodosia Rynders. He graduated from Boys Tech High School in 1933 and was an All-Milwaukee high school football star. He married his wife Bernice in 1936 and lived in Wauwatosa. The family also lived in Greenfield, Hales Corners and Bethesda, MD.
He worked for the former Allis Chalmers Manufacturing Company as a draftsman and chief draftsman for 42 years, retiring in 1978. Ray was active with the Milwaukee County Council of the Boy Scouts of America and hosted exchange Boy Scouts and their leaders from Sweden.
Ray was a member of St. Matthias Parish in Milwaukee, St. Andrew?s Parish in Cape Coral, FL, Holy Angels Parish in West Bend and St. Mary?s Parish in Hales Corners.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2006, 10 AM at ST MARY?S FAITH COMMUNITY, Hales Corners, 9520 W. Forest Home Av.. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will take place Saturday at the Church from 9 AM until the time of Mass 10 AM.
