Reginald Raymond Paplaczyk, Age 92 was called to heaven on Saturday, June 22, 2019
He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin, colleague and wonderful friend and neighbor to many.
A Milwaukee native, he was born on July 8, 1926 the son of Michael and Frances Paplaczyk. He grew up on the south side of Milwaukee and graduated from Pulaski High School.
He was united in marriage to Dorothy Fon on September 15, 1951 and they were joyfully blessed with 3 children. He served our country in the Coast Guard during WWII and had the privilege of attending the veteran memorial Honor Flight to Washington DC in 2013.
Reg was the musician (rock star!) and salesman that enhanced soooo many lives along his way.
He owned and operated a music store in South Milwaukee and was a music instructor to many. He rocked the accordion with his band, The Four Corners, entertaining many at weddings and private events. He worked for Hoyle Cards and was a manufacturer’s representative for many other specialty products throughout his career.
Reg is survived by his children, Gregory & Cynthia Paplaczyk of Allen TX, Keith & Susan Paplaczyk of Scottsdale, AZ, grandchildren Clayton & Dominique Paplaczyk of Glendale , AZ, Michael Paplaczyk of Allen, TX and great granddaughter Amelia Paplaczyk of Glendale, AZ.
Brother and sister-in-law Gordon & Joyce Fon of Duluth, MN, sister-in-law Janice Papke of Milwaukee.
He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends and neighbors whom he treasured throughout his years.
In heaven he joins his parents Michael & Frances, wife Dorothy, daughter Cynthia, his brother Melvin, and brother & sister-in-law John & Julie Fon.
A celebration of Reg’s life will be held on Saturday, July 6th at 11am at St. Louis Catholic Church, 13207 County Road G in Caledonia, WI In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Louis Catholic Church.
