Found Peace on Monday, February 26, 2007 at St. Camillus Health Care Center in Wauwatosa at the age of 76 years. Father was born on July 2, 1930 in Bay View to the late Raymond and the late Irene nee Clapier Wieland.

Father graduated from Immaculate Conception Grade School in Bay View. He furthered his studies at De Sales Preparatory Seminary and completed his priesthood formation at St. Francis Major Seminary in 1956. He was ordained to the priesthood on May 26, 1956 by the Most Reverend Albert G. Meyer, Archbishop of Milwaukee, at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Milwaukee.

Father began his priestly ministry as an assistant at St. Jude Parish in Wauwatosa from 1956 until 1963. Father joined the De Sales Preparatory Seminary faculty and taught there from 1963 to 1977. In 1977, Father was appointed administrator of Holy Name Parish, Sheboygan. Father returned to St. Jude Parish, Wauwatosa as acting pastor from 1978 to 1979. Father was appointed pastor of St. Peter Parish in Beaver Dam in 1979, where he faithfully served until 1990. Father was then appointed pastor at Holy Apostles Parish, New Berlin in 1990, where he served this faith community until his retirement in 1998. Following his retirement, Father assisted many parishes and religious communities throughout the Archdiocese. In addition to his ministry assignments, Father served as a speaker for Catholic Family Life Program, director of SUMA, as a District Dean, and member of the Archdiocesan Council of Priests.

Survivors include his brother Donald June Wieland, his niece Peggy Michael McNiel, his nephews Thomas fiancee Pamela Young Wieland, Gregory Carolyn Wieland and Robert Marilyn Wieland. He was great-uncle to Bo, Michael Shannon, Kelly fiance Chris, Daniel and Clare and great-great uncle to Peyton. He is also survived by other relatives and many dear friends, including Rev. Eugene Konkel, Rev. Victor Zwaska and Rev. Timothy Bickel.

Visitation will be held at the Mater Christi Chapel in the Archbishop Cousins Catholic Center, 3501 S. Lake Dr., St. Francis on Thursday March 1st, from 4-7:30 PM, with a Prayer Service at 7:30 PM, and on Friday March 2nd from 9:30-10:30 AM. His Concelebrated Mass of Burial will be celebrated on Friday March 2nd at 11:00 AM at the Mater Christi Chapel, with Most Reverend Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of Milwaukee presiding. The Committal prayer service will be held on Friday at 2:15 PM at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Milwaukee.
