Passed into heavenly glory Friday, October 21, 2011, age 89 years. Loving husband of 64 years of Delores Werner nee Seevers. Dear father of Paul Trish Werner, Pam Rich Manske, Valerie Michael Dethloff and Stephanie Dan Shinnick. Grandfather of Michael Werner, Jenna Rev. Fred Guldberg, Joshua Amanda Manske, Caleb Rachel Manske, John Shauna Dethloff, Andrew Dethloff, Christopher Christine Shinnick, Tyler Callie Shinnick and Allison and Elizabeth Shinnick. Great grandfather of Nathaniel, Lauren, Luke, Emmy and Addy Guldberg and Alec Dethloff. Brother of Ruth Reise and the late Walter Werner. Also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation Wednesday, October 26, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at ST. JACOBI EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 8605 W. Forest Home Ave., followed by the Funeral Service at 7:00 PM. The visitation continues on Thursday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Valmy, WI. followed by the Service of Committal at 12:00 PM and Burial at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Pastor Werner was a graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon and served congregations in Prescott, AZ., Milwaukee and for the last 32 years of his ministry in Door County.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod appreciated.
