Richard “Rick” A. Colby

Passed away on Sunday September 17, 2023, at the age of 83. Husband of Barbara [Sandquist] for 59 years. Loving dad of Kristen (Mark) Felten, Karen Kehl, Katherine (Matt) Dischler, and Stephen (Dana) Colby. Dear grandpa of Camille Felten, Kellin Kehl, Colby Dischler, and Alex and Jayna Colby. Brother of Jon (Shelia) Colby. Also survived by other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at the FUNERAL HOME, from 10-11:30am with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11:30am.

As a self-employed businessman, Rick founded New Berlin Taxidermy Studio in 1970, and the Artisan Supply Co. which provided specialized air brush paints around the world. In this role, he served as a past president of the New Berlin Chamber of Commerce. Rick was also an avid tennis player throughout his life and enjoyed his time coaching boys’ high school tennis.
