Loving husband of Irene nee Miller. Preceded in death by cherished wife, Jennie nee Tsopelas, brother Dan and sister Sylvia. Hero and loving father of Marie Dave Cimpl, Susan, Rob Michelle, Liz Steve Sykora and Jeanie Craig Flashner. Loving and proud grandpa of Jason, Christina, Fil, Bo, Jenna, Joey, Dylan and Cole. Further survived by Irene’s family: Nancy Streiff, Katie Jim Laverty, Susan David Lehner and Mary Jane Eric Gausmann. Special grandpa to Jason, Ben Laura, Ethan Annie, Vince Danielle, Pete, John, Katharine, Michael, Gregory and great granddaughter, Ava.
Always the life of the party, he made a lasting impression with everyone he met. Bob loved being surrounded by family and friends. He was a sports enthusiast and avid golfer.
A World War ll veteran, he proudly served his country with the 4th Marine Division on Iwo Jima. We were blessed to have had such an irreplaceable dad. His smile, his sense of humor and zest for life will always remain in our hearts.
Celebrate Bob’s life on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at ST. MARY’S CATHOLIC FAITH COMMUNITY, 9520 W. Forest Home Ave. Visitation from 8:30 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. with Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m..
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be shared with Bob’s favorite charities.
