Lopez, Robert J (Bob), was reunited with his beloved wife, Sophie (nee Pos), of 49 years on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at the age of 82.   Loving father to Mike (Jamie) Lopez, Kevin (Linda) Lopez, and Rick Lopez.  “Pops” to Maria (Andy) Seidler, Shari Lopez, Robert (Suzy) Lopez, Michael (Kristin) Lopez, Angela (Troy) Williamson, and Kelli (Aaron) Patterson.  Great-Grandfather of Bradyn, Landon, Sofia, Autumn, Reagan, Ariana, and Nina.    Also survived by brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bob was born to Refugio and Celia (nee Enriquez) on April 1, 1939.  He lived his life in dedication to Sophie and their children working hard to support and provide for his family.  He worked at Rexnord as a heat treat operator for 40 years before he retired.  Bob was a man with a warm smile, a kind heart, a generous soul and an incessant need to try and entertain folks all around.  Naturally having been born on April Fools Day, Bob loved to joke, prank, and tell stories.   His family was his pride and joy.  He brought so much love and joy to our family and made each one of us feel special.   We will miss him dearly.

A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, May 19th at OUR LADY OF LOURDES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 3722 S. 58th St.  from 10-11AM a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Robert Lopez to the Wounded Warrior project.
