Diedrich
of Milwaukee passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the home of his daughter, Mary Beth Wicks, on Jan. 1, 2008 in Arlington, TX. He was the beloved husband of the late Marie Diedrich and the late Harriet Diedrich. Born in Milwaukee, a son of Carl Wolfgram Diedrich and Marie Fisher. Mr. Diedrich was a WWII U.S. Army veteran. After the war, he worked for the Railroad Express Agency for 35 years. In 1978, Mr. Diedrich became an Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist for St. Anthony’s Church, bringing Holy Communion to the elderly and disabled until he himself could no longer walk. Throughout his life, Mr. Diedrich was an avid fisherman, winning awards throughout southern Wisconsin. Mr. Diedrich leaves one daughter, Mrs. Mary Beth Wicks and her husband Roger of Texas; one grandson, Dr. Anthony Hollingsworth and his wife Christina of Rhode Island; and two great-granddaughters, Kathryn and Caroline Hollingsworth. Visitation Sun., Jan. 6, 4-7PM at the funeral home. Funeral Mass Mon., Jan. 7, 10AM at ST. ANTHONY’S CHURCH, S. 9th and W. Mitchell St. Please meet at church. Interment Highland Memorial Park.
