July 9, 2008 at the of age 85 years. Beloved husband of Virginia “Jinny” nee Jakubiak. Proud father of Bill Lin, Ken Charlie, Rick Maureen, Randy Gail, and Rob Beth Kordus. Loving Grandpa of Rich, Mandi, Angelic, Jinny, Justin, Krista, and David Kordus. Great-Grandpa of Max. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Visitation Sat. July 12, 9 AM until time of Mass at 10AM at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST, So. 85th and W. Coldspring. Private Entombment Arlington Park. Bob was a very active member of St. Lawrence Parish for over 40 years. Past President and member of the Holy Name Society, past President of the Parish Council, Chairman of Sheepshead Club, Basketball Coach, Boy Scout Leader, Lector, Usher, Eucharistic Minister, served in Army Air Corps in WWII. Bob retired as a mail carrier after 33 years of service. He was a member of N.A.L.C., N.A.R.F.E , Secretary of P.O.R.K., member of Amvets #37, member of St. Rafael Seniors, and a member of the Greenfield Seniors.
