Age 70, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2005, at St. Luke?s Medical Center in Milwaukee. Bob was born March 23, 1935 in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late Isaac and Ura Menear Melott. Shortly after his graduation from High School, Bob enlisted in the United States Army in 1955 and served in many locales including Okinawa. Upon his discharge in 1963, he returned to South Milwaukee where his wife, the former Betty Bayer patiently awaited his return. The couple had married on April 9, 1960. Over the years, Bob was employed by McGraw-Edison, Appleton Electric?s Lighting Division, and most recently by Gardner Bender Electrical. He enjoyed golf, propagating and caring for his orchids, and spending time with his family. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye, and he will be sadly missed by Megan, Rebekah, Sarah, Leah, Ben, and Kailah. Bob also had a knack for gardening, and each of his family members and friends were the annual beneficiaries of his gardening skills. He always had the tastiest tomatoes, the biggest peppers, and the most beautiful flowers.
