Passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 age 76. Ron was born on May 12, 1946 to the late Franklin and the late Dorothy Welch. After graduating Union Grove Class of 1964, he served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968.  On September 7, 1968 Ron married Diane Hansen. He retired from Wisconsin Electric where he worked for over 40 years. Ron was a loving husband and father, who treasured his grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a devoted member of North Cape Lutheran Church.

Survived by his wife Diane (nee Hansen), sons Neil and Chris, grandchildren Alex Leigh, Jordan, Spencer, Nathan and David. Great grandchildren Easton, Corbin, Blake, Benny and Haylen. Sibling Lily Bankenbush, Frank (Sharon) Welch, Pam (Marty) Rakauskas, Debra Correll, Mark (Janice) Welch, brother-in-law to Barb Welch, Donna Polston, Nancy Hansen, Peggy (Chuck) Svoboda and Dan (Peggy) Hansen. Also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law Norman and Elaine Hansen, brother of the late Bob Welch, brother-in-law to the late Wally Polston, the late Norbert Bankenbush and the late Peter Hansen. Uncle to the late Vicki Lynn Bankenbush.

Ron enjoyed his nights with his buddies playing Sheepshead, relaxing and fishing at St. Germain with family and friends.

Visitation to be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 9:30am until the time of memorial service at 11:30am at NORTH CAPE LUTHERAN CHURCH (2644 Raynor Ave, Hwy 45).

In lieu of flowers and plants a memorial will be established.

    I will miss his smile and that giggle. He was my Godfather. I can only imagine, what it will like, to walk by your side. You will always be in my heart.

    Our sincere sympathy to such a wonderful neighbor! Sure enjoyed our roadside chats when he’d drive by! Loved his laugh, he’ll be missed in the neighborhood for sure.! So sorry we’re unable to attend his memorial service but will be there in thought and prayers, Diane, Neil and Chris 💔🙏💔🙏
