Ronald O. Butt

Went home to Heaven on April 17, 2023 at age 83. Loving husband of Diane (nee Bublitz). Dear Dad of Michelle (James) Garbe and Nathan (Nina) Butt and father-in-law of Nicole Butt. Devoted grandpa of Benjamin (Amy) Garbe, Joseph (Malorie) Garbe, Anna (fiancé Michael Garvin) Garbe, Alyxandria Butt, Ethan Butt, Jillian Butt, Veronica Butt, and Liam Butt. Great Grandpa of Eli Garbe, Emerson Garbe , and Rita Garbe. Also survived by his brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Preceded in death by his son, Andrew Butt.

Ron touched a countless number of people during his life with encouraging words, prayers, and personal contact.

He was passionate about the skilled trades industry.  His occupation for more than 30 years centered around apprenticeship and trade development within the vocational school system.

Ron enjoyed many adventures with his family.  Camping, canoeing, biking, snowshoeing, hiking, “making” firewood, worldwide travel, Brewers baseball, and smooth jazz concerts were some of his favorite ways to live each day to the fullest.

He valued maintaining old relationships and establishing new friendships.  Family reunions were cherished gatherings for sharing stories and bonding generations.

Always radiating positivity, Ron often said with a smile “Every day is fantastic!”

A memorial visitation will take place on Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (S66 W14325 W Janesville Rd, Muskego) with a memorial service following at 3:30 pm.

Ron & Diane were a beautiful and wonderful couple. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Diane, and the entire family. Ron will be missed by us. Our thoughts and prayers will be with all of you during this time of grieving. God has taken Ron to His Heavenly Kingdom to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, and he will certainly be missed by us dearly.

My wife Debbie and I were blessed to have the opportunity to purchase Ron and Dianes home, when they decided to move into nearby senior condos in the area. We have had the pleasure to get to know Ron & Diane a bit more since we moved into the neighborhood in Muskego, and had an opportunity to get together for a fish fry. We also share a more recent memory, when Debbie & I ran into Ron (and Diane) at a concert last summer in Whitnall Park. We had a very nice time on both occasions.

Our thought and prayer are with all.

    Love Mike & Debbie Michalak

Ron was such a loving Christian man. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He was a friend and neighbor to me in Muskego Wisconsin. His Christian faith and love of life was apparent to everyone he met. My prayers go out to Diane and the rest of the family. Rest in piece my friend.

Ron was my mentor at WCTC beginning in 1986. He was a outstanding teacher and role model. He initiated several new apprenticeship programs and was known and liked by area employers and by all of the 16 Wisconsin Technical Colleges apprenticeship coordinators.
