Roselind (Linda) Hochtritt
(nee Sciano)
Linda passed peacefully on May 13, 2021 at the age of 75 after a long fight against Diabetes and Kidney Disease. Linda was born in Milwaukee to William and Josephine (Silva) Sciano. She was the youngest of 7 children. She attended Brookfield East HS and was a member of the Class of 1964.
Linda loved to cook and bake for her family, “cooking for an army” was an understatement. In the early 1980’s she opened a restaurant so she could share her love of Italian food with others. The majority of her working years were spent sewing as a seamstress, creating custom bridal gowns, and furrier work. She worked at many bridal shops and furrier shops around the Milwaukee area.
She enjoyed a wide variety of musical genre. Her favorite was dancing to 70’s and 80’s disco, but she was also the queen of the polka. She literally danced like no one was watching, pure enjoyment. She played the organ, the accordion and was a singer. Linda also enjoyed going to the casino, she was great black jack player and loved to go play cards.
Linda loved her family with all her heart. She loved being a Nana, her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She enjoyed all the years of dance recitals, plays, football games, baseball games, music and violin concerts, go cart racing. She hated to miss not one event that her grandchildren were participating in.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Bruce Hochtritt; her children Gina (Brian) John and Scott (Tammy) Schulz; her grandchildren Lauren John, Joshua Schulz, Jacob Schulz and Megan Schulz; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will be deeply missed by so many.
Preceded in death by her parents, William and Josephine; her sisters, Carmella Varga, Marina Kowalewski, Theresa Kurkowski; her brothers, Carl Sciano, Joe Sciano, John Sciano; and her grandson, David James Ladwig.
