Sunday, February 21, 2010, age 92 years. Loving husband of Margaret Schlicht nee Blauert. Proud father of Paul Susan Schlicht and Robert Kelly Schlicht. Grandfather of Angela Allen, Nathan Allen, Joshua Fiance Lindsey Horwart De Witt, Lyssa Lance Reynolds and Dakota Alexander Schlicht. Adoring great grandfather of Kyra Lynn Jenkins, Nickolai Leo Reynolds and Liam Roy Reynolds. Brother of Ray the late Elaine Schlicht. Also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service Saturday, February 27, at 2:00 PM at Christ Ev. Lutheran Church, 2235 W. Greenfield Ave. Interment Arlington Park Cemetery. Visitation Friday at the Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Saturday at the Church from 12:00 PM until the time of service 2:00 PM.
Roy served in the U. S. Army during World War II in Karachi, India as a Medical Technician at the 181st General Hospital from 1941-1945. He was a retired employee of both Allis Chalmers and Bank One. He was a life long active member of Christ Ev. Lutheran Church.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Drs. Frankowski and Scherr, the staff at Villa St. Francis, Village at Manor Park, The Terrace at St. Francis, St. Lukes Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and South Shore Manor for their caring service.
