Went home to the Lord on October 22nd, 2014, age 90. Cherished husband of Arline “Lee” for 68 years. Wonderful father to Sharon (Herb) Schmiedel. Grandfather to Julie (John) Lucey, Mark (Sue) and Dean (Susan Bay) Schmiedel. Great-grandfather to Morgan Lucey, Christel (Luke) Ingles, Michelle (Kenneth) Rojas, Jasper and Milo Schmiedel. Special friend to Dave (Laura) Ambroso. Preceded in death by his brother Joseph (Lorraine) Anich, Dr. Henry (Eleanor) Zastrow. Also survived by 2 great-great-grandchildren, many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation 3:30-5:30PM on Monday October 27th, at the FUNERAL HOME, with funeral service to follow. Rudy served honorably in WWII and was employed by the Milwaukee Road for 45 years. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Zion UCC appreciated.
