Russell Lloyd Peterson was born to eternal life on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 85 years. Beloved husband of Judith (Rohde) and the late SueAnn (Strelow). Dear father of Linda (John) Hyde, Jeff Peterson and the late Jill Peterson. Grandfather of Dennis (Kristen) Roushia and Jacob (Alissa) Ferraro. Brother of Judy (the late Bill) Bremel, the late Paul (the late Collette) Peterson, and the late Wilmer (Margie) Peterson. Godfather of  Melissa (nee Erickson) Lucci, Tim Bremel and Perry Peterson. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13th, 2024 at Oak Creek Community United Methodist Church (OCCUMC) 8675 South 13th Street from 10am until the time of service at noon.

Funeral service will be live-streamed through the churches Facebook Page.

Russ was a machinist, retiring from Robert Bosch Engineering. He enjoyed being a longtime bus driver for Union Grove High School. He also served on many boards including Raymond School, Racine County Agricultural Society, the Oak Creek Community United Methodist Church, and the Dudes and Dolls Square Dance Club.

    Russ was such a a nice man–always had a smile and something friendly to say. I appreciated all that he did for Raymond School. My sympathy to Jeff, Linda and the family.

    Jeff, Linda and family, Heaven gained another angel, and what an angel. Your Dad was always so welcoming and had the best smile. He was such a great leader and Community member. Please know our hearts are with you all.

    Jeff , Linda and family, I am so sorry for your loss.my favorite times with your dad was at the county fair pie auctions. Sandy and I were always lucky enough to be invited to eat the pie your dad got at the fair. He will be missed by many, I’ll always remember that smile!

    I remember him as my bus driver! Linda and Jeff, my heart aches for you, and at the same time, heaven gained a beautiful angel… One that will forever watch over you and guide you in all of your journeys, and be cheering you on every step of the way. My heartfelt condolences .
