GONE FISHIN’. Russ joined the big Muskey hunt in the sky on Sunday, June 23rd, 2013 at age 74. He was born on August 13, 1938 in Woodstock, IL.
He is survived by son Jeffrey (Laurel) Stieg, step-son Steven Kriofsky, grandson Colton Stieg, and Jeff’s mother, Peggy Lydic. He is also survived by his sister Elaine (Robert) Steinwehe and nephew Keith Steinwehe of Woodstock, IL as well as niece Renee (Brian) Trei and great-nephews Nick and Alex Trei of Charlotte, NC.

Russ served in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne Unit. He was a long time employee of Capitol Engineering, a division of Mercury Marine. Russ retired in 2004 to soak a few worms and untangle a lot of snags! His love and laughter brightened our days! Visitation on Monday, July 1st at the FUNERAL HOME from 5 pm to 7 pm with a service at 7 pm. Private interment at Oakwood Rest Cemetery.
