Ruth Agnes Meyers

Ruth Agnes Meyers (nee Englehardt), age 96, had her prayers answered on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Mom entered this world on November 28, 1927, to her parents Agnes (nee Stolarski) Englehardt-Slaats and Fred Englehardt. She was born, baptized, confirmed, and raised Lutheran until her marriage to Nicholas Meyers Jr. on June 26, 1947, at which time she switched to Catholic.

A beautiful, loving, and caring mom, grandma, and great grandma who devoted her life to her family. She will be remembered for her home-made chocolate eclairs, chocolate chip cookies, ham/salami rollups, ham salad, layered Jello, and her special tomato soup. All made with love and her beautiful smile, the most beautiful gift she could ever give.

Mom often reminisced about her childhood and how much fun she had roller skating and playing with her siblings. She spoke highly of her mom and all the special things she did. It’s no wonder she was such a loving mother.

She is survived by her 5 children, Jean (Jim) Spiess, Nicholas (Susan) Meyers III, Linda Johnson, Mary (Dave) Larson, Michael (Linda) Meyers, and special light great granddaughter, Danika Cruz. Mom had 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick; daughter, Sandra Meyers; her parents, 5 sisters, and 1 brother.

Visitation will take place on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 11 am – 12 pm at ST. MATTHIAS CATHOLIC PARISH ( 9306 Beloit Rd, Milwaukee) with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12 pm.
