Taubert, Scott T.
Found peace at his residence with his family by his side November 3, 2002 at age 52 after a 3 year courageous battle with cancer. Born to Herman Taubert and Marion nee Zwicki on October 11, 1950 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Scott lived most of his life in the Mukwonago and East Troy areas. He served in the U.S. Army for 3 years and served in Vietnam from 1970-1971. On December 8, 1971 he married Judith Stobber in Mukwonago. Scott worked at Trent Tube as a foreman for many years and then at East Troy High School as a Maintenance Supervisor for 11 years. He was a Past Commander for the Mukwonago VFW Post 7221, a member of Cooties Pup Tent 26, Entertainment Chairman for VFW Second District and a member of American Legion Post 375. Scott received a State Proclamation from former Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson for the Vietnam War Memorial he constructed at his residence. Scott was also a Leader of the Vietnam Veterans Group ”The 7” Fire Base McGillicuddy’s.
Scott is survived by his wife Judy nee Stobber, his daughters Heather Taubert and April Forest Dent, his granddaughter Ashlyn Dent, his mother Marion nee Zwicki, sisters Heidi Van Beck and Lee Ann Frank Slayton, his nieces and nephews Andy, Teri, Sara, Robert, Holly and Cindy Lou, Sister-in-law Linda Dick Pausch and Brother-in-law Don Mary Stobber. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, other nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Vistiation will be Wednesday, November 6 from 4-8 pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 7 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with a visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery with full military honors.
