Shirley C. Pacala

Shirley found peace on November 13^th at the age of 90.  She is now reunited in heaven with the love of her life, Gilbert.

She is survived by her loving children Debbie (Jim) Hillard, Bonnie (Dan) Ackmann, Kathy (Craig) Pulley, James (Melanie) Pacala, Patti (Pat) Brown, Michael (Janet) Pacala, 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Shirley grew up in Bayview and attended Bayview High School. While skating with friends at the Pallomar Roller Rink, she met Gilbert and fell in love. He was drafted into the Army, but before he left for Korea, they were married. They spent 58 years enjoying life together, relaxing at their cottage on the lake, traveling the states in their motorhome, or just spending time with family and friends.

We will miss you but are comforted knowing you are in the arms of your sweetheart smiling and dancing “side by side”.
