Beloved friend, aunt and sister, died on Friday of cancer. She was 72. Soledad was a dynamic person who influenced many in overcoming life?s obstacles, she having been a survivor herself. A dedicated Social Worker at the Sojourners House and an extremely talented Hairdresser, Soledad inspired many to be their best. A stalwart friend and loving aunt brought laughter and appreciation to life?s complexities. Soledad Guadalupe Perez will be missed by many. But her inspiration will live on.
Soledad is survived by her siblings; Micaela Balcazar, Gabriela Gutierrez, Paula Monreal, and James Perez. Visitation will be held Monday, 4-6 PM at Prince of Peace Church, 1138 S. 26th St., with Mass of Christian Burial at 6 PM.
