Sr. Generose Willkomm

Sr. Generose Willkomm, O.S.F., went to see God on November 3. 2024.  She was born on December 28, 1925 to Nicholas  and Josephine (Neu) Willkomm and was named Mary Ann Catherine Willkomm in Paris, Wisconsin.  She was the 12^th child of the 16 children born of this marriage.  When she was 14, she joined the Sisters of St. Francis.  She was professed on August 12, 1945 and took the name Sr. Mary Generose.  Over the next 60 years she taught at schools in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Colorado.  She also served as principal at St. Mary’s School in So. Milwaukee.

She was a strong woman of faith and was very proud to belong to a large family.  She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and friends at Franciscan Shores.  She was predeceased by her parents and brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for family and friends will on Saturday, November 9, at St. John the Baptist Church, 1501 172nd Ave., Union Grove, WI, with visitation at 10:00 a.m., Mass at 11:00, and burial to follow in St. John’s cemetery.
