MILWAUKEE — Sister Marilyn Therese Wolfram, 83, of Milwaukee passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Ruth Hospice in West Allis. She was born March 4, 1929, in Apple River, to William and Loretta (McDermott) Wolfram. She graduated from Warren High School and entered the School Sisters of St. Francis, professing her final vows in June 1954. Sister Marilyn taught school in Cloverdale, Carol Stream and Granite City, Ill. Most recently she was the director of religious education at St. Pascal’s in Chicago and later Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Chicago. She dedicated her life to the education of children and adults. She is survived by sister-in-law, Donna Wolfram and brother-in-law, Clyde Blair, both of Warren, Ill.; nieces and nephews, Joseph (Deb) Blair of Winslow, Ill., Mary Blair and Janet Blair of Freeport, Ill., Joann Blair of Pekin, Ill., Julene (Al) Youmans of Freeport, Jeff (Donna) Blair of Winslow, Jim (Wendy) Blair of Lena, Ill., Martha (Bob) Lyvers of Lena, Cathy (Francis) Fennell of Warren, Mike (Sally) Wolfram and Teresa (Tom) Gille of Shullsburg, Denise (Kirk) Brinker of Baraboo; several great-nieces and -nephews; and the School Sister of St. Francis with whom she shared life for 56 years. Predeceased by her parents; brother, Wilfred Wolfram; and sister, Arlene Blair.
Wake service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at St. Joseph Chapel, 1501 S. Layton Blvd., Milwaukee, followed by the funeral liturgy at 11 a.m. Interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
