nee Salamone Born to eternal life Thursday, November 27, 2008, age 86. Dear wife and special angel of the late Leonard D. Cupertino. Beloved mother of Mary Therese David Vander Heyden, Daniel Nancy Cupertino, and Jean Mark Watson. Loving grandma and great-grandma of Steven Kara Vander Heyden and their children Mason and Caden, Jenee Brian Fletcher and their children Blake, Carson,and Jayce, on the way, Kristin Joe Pascucci and their children Mia and Dominic, on the way, Ben Amanda Cupertino and their children Gianna and Anthony, Nicole Rob Druktenis and their children Madalyn, Ella, and Ava, and Ashley Watson. Dear sister of Pat Carol Salamone. Sister-in-law of Thomasina Salamone, Charles Joyce, Beverly, Fern, and Linda Cupertino. Preceded in death by parents Gennaro and Nicolina, brothers Angelo Madeline, William, Carmen Jane Salamone and sisters Angeline Joseph DeAngelis, Carmella William Pearson, Pauline Joseph Salamone, and Antoinette Salamone. Also preceded in death by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law John Tillie, Anthony Marianne, Paul, Phillip, Daniel, Richard Joyce, Thomas, Eugene, and Anita Joe Giallanza. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation Thursday from 4 – 7 pm at the FUNERAL HOME with a prayer vigil at 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday at ST. PAUL’S CHURCH, S. Norwich and E. Kansas MEET AT CHURCH. Entombment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Our family would like to thank Dr. Michael D’Amico for his compassion and kindness in caring for Mom. We would also like to extend a special thank you to John Coury and the wonderful staff at Elizabeth Residence South for their compassionate care and for making such a warm, comfortable and loving home for Mom. You were truly her extended family. Thank you to AseraCare Hospice for their tender care and kindness and to the Senior Planning Group for their wisdom and guidance. We consider all of you Mom’s angels on Earth.
Mom, thank you for everything you have done for us. You were the epitome of a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
